Release 10/10/2026: dental charts, estimate discounts, Send later and more
New
Dental charts. Chart teeth right inside the visit.
There are charts for dogs, cats and horses.
Record findings tooth by tooth, including periodontal readings. Changes take two taps, so a stray tap can't change a tooth, and you can undo.
The chart saves as you go and is finalized when the visit is completed, however the visit is completed.
The chart appears in the patient's record export and can be added to discharge instructions with {{dental}}.
A short in-app tour shows you around the first time you open it.
Discounts on estimates.
Apply a discount code or a manual discount to a treatment-plan line or to the whole plan, or override a price.
The plan's range, the client view and the bill all net the discount.
Every price change is recorded with who made it.
Flat-rate pricing for inventory items. Charge one set price per administration instead of per unit.
Your clinic's look on invoices, receipts and estimates. Add a footer and information blocks in Settings → Templates → Document layout. Single-pet invoices and receipts can show the pet's photo.
Follow-up questions. In exam templates and questionnaires, show a question only when an earlier answer calls for it. For example, ask "How many episodes?" only when "Vomiting?" is Yes. Hidden answers are never charted or sent to the AI.
Patient summary bar in visits. A bar across the top of the visit shows the pet's key facts: weight trend, alerts, vaccines, history and more. Each opens a quick pop-over, and you can record a weight straight from it. Choose which items your clinic shows in Settings.
Send later. Schedule a text or email to a client for a later time. You can edit or cancel it before it goes. Times are in your clinic's time zone, and you get a warning if a send falls in quiet hours.
Disclaimers and signed terms on estimates.
Build a library of clinic disclaimers in Settings: payment policy, anaesthesia risk, and so on.
Choose which ones appear when you Present to Client, and which the client must tick to agree.
What they agreed to, and when, is kept with the estimate.
Disclaimers can show only between dates, and can repeat every year (for example, a holiday-hours notice).
Disclaimers can also print on treatment plans, invoices, receipts and discharge instructions. An accepted plan's PDF shows the terms the client agreed to and who signed. If the plan is changed afterwards, it shows as an open quote again.
Confirm an appointment by hand. Mark an appointment confirmed by phone, text, email or in person, with an optional note. The schedule shows who confirmed it and how.
Undo No-Show. Marked a no-show by mistake? Undo it from the appointment and the visit goes back to Scheduled in the same slot, ready to check in. If the slot has been rebooked, you'll be offered Rebook instead.
Rebook for cancelled and no-show appointments. It starts a new appointment pre-filled with the client, pet and appointment type.
Keep appointment types out of automated forms. In an automation rule, choose appointment types to skip. For example, don't send the pre-visit form for euthanasia or tech appointments.
Appointment confirmation request (48 hours before). A new automation in Settings → Automations that asks clients to confirm. It's off until you switch it on.
Record text-message consent while sending a form. If a client hasn't agreed to texts, Send Form now offers to record their consent in person or to email them a consent link, instead of just failing.
Send a form from a visit's Forms section in the medical record.
Written prescriptions.
A Written Prescription starter layout.
Many more prescription fields: the doctor's signature, page numbers, the pharmacy's fax, and the retail Rx number.
Your clinic's fax number in Settings → Clinic Profile.
Accept All for AI suggested items on a visit. The list now scrolls when it's long.
Hide the "Rescheduled" markers on the schedule, with a new clinic setting.
Improved
Visit header. Recording status, tags and the visit's title, attending DVM and scribe now sit together in the visit header, leaving more room for notes.
Completed, cancelled and no-show appointments stay put. They can't be dragged, resized, rescheduled or switched back to an earlier status, including by the AI assistant. Notes can still be edited. Use Undo No-Show or Rebook instead.
New clients get appointment reminders by default when they're added from online booking, the website assistant, emergency check-in, a referral or a lead. Marketing messages stay off unless the client opts in.
The AI assistant uses your clinic's time zone. "Move it to 7:30 PM" now means 7:30 PM at your clinic. The assistant also won't mark a visit Completed; that happens at discharge, so nothing in the discharge step is skipped.
Duplicating an automation creates the copy switched off, so a copy can't start messaging clients by surprise.
The schedule toolbar fits on laptop screens, with every action reachable.
Printed treatment plans now match the downloaded and emailed PDF, clinic header included.
Body condition score shows a description for each score, not just its category.
Shorter dates in places where only the day matters, for example "Oct 14" instead of "Wednesday, October 14, 2026". The schedule header still shows the full date.
Inactive species and breeds can be seen and switched back on from Settings.
Edits save when you leave a page. A change typed just before navigating away, closing the tab or switching apps is no longer lost.
Fixed
Retail sales now take items out of stock when the bill is issued, and put them back if it's voided or reverted.
A new inventory item's dispense fee override is now respected straight away. Previously, "0" (no fee) still charged the clinic default until the item was re-saved.
A quantity of 0 on a bill or estimate line now stays 0 instead of becoming 1.
Once an estimate has been turned into a bill, its prices can no longer be changed (revert the bill first), so the estimate and the bill always agree.
A dispense that draws from more than one lot now bills the full quantity.
Billing a fractional dispense (for example 0.5 mL) from the dispense record now bills the exact amount instead of rounding it down.
A time entry can no longer be saved without a clock-in time.
Adding a charge to a hospital stay whose estimate was already billed now starts a new estimate, instead of changing the billed one.
Kit-only price rules now apply only to the kit, not to every line.
A bill set to a single provider now keeps that setting, and its receipt shows the provider.
Bills created from a visit now name the visit's vet as the provider, so invoices, receipts and provider reports credit the right doctor. If staff change the provider, it's kept when the bill is re-created.
Marketing consent: a new client created with email marketing turned off now stays off.
The cancellation email no longer includes the staff's internal cancellation note.
What's New banners on the visit and schedule screens are visible again, and bold text in them displays correctly.
Retail prescription printing: the pharmacy and Rx number fields can't change while the label is being confirmed.
Opening an exam template no longer creates a new version of it.
Lab orders, price policies and vaccination status set to the first option in a list (for example CBC, Low priority or Up to date) are now saved as chosen.
For UK clinics
Everything above applies to UK clinics too, with amounts in £.
