Release 10/10/2026: dental charts, estimate discounts, Send later and more

New

  • Dental charts. Chart teeth right inside the visit.
  • There are charts for dogs, cats and horses.
  • Record findings tooth by tooth, including periodontal readings. Changes take two taps, so a stray tap can't change a tooth, and you can undo.
  • The chart saves as you go and is finalized when the visit is completed, however the visit is completed.
  • The chart appears in the patient's record export and can be added to discharge instructions with {{dental}}.
  • A short in-app tour shows you around the first time you open it.
  • Discounts on estimates.
  • Apply a discount code or a manual discount to a treatment-plan line or to the whole plan, or override a price.
  • The plan's range, the client view and the bill all net the discount.
  • Every price change is recorded with who made it.
  • Flat-rate pricing for inventory items. Charge one set price per administration instead of per unit.
  • Your clinic's look on invoices, receipts and estimates. Add a footer and information blocks in Settings → Templates → Document layout. Single-pet invoices and receipts can show the pet's photo.
  • Follow-up questions. In exam templates and questionnaires, show a question only when an earlier answer calls for it. For example, ask "How many episodes?" only when "Vomiting?" is Yes. Hidden answers are never charted or sent to the AI.
  • Patient summary bar in visits. A bar across the top of the visit shows the pet's key facts: weight trend, alerts, vaccines, history and more. Each opens a quick pop-over, and you can record a weight straight from it. Choose which items your clinic shows in Settings.
  • Send later. Schedule a text or email to a client for a later time. You can edit or cancel it before it goes. Times are in your clinic's time zone, and you get a warning if a send falls in quiet hours.
  • Disclaimers and signed terms on estimates.
  • Build a library of clinic disclaimers in Settings: payment policy, anaesthesia risk, and so on.
  • Choose which ones appear when you Present to Client, and which the client must tick to agree.
  • What they agreed to, and when, is kept with the estimate.
  • Disclaimers can show only between dates, and can repeat every year (for example, a holiday-hours notice).
  • Disclaimers can also print on treatment plans, invoices, receipts and discharge instructions. An accepted plan's PDF shows the terms the client agreed to and who signed. If the plan is changed afterwards, it shows as an open quote again.
  • Confirm an appointment by hand. Mark an appointment confirmed by phone, text, email or in person, with an optional note. The schedule shows who confirmed it and how.
  • Undo No-Show. Marked a no-show by mistake? Undo it from the appointment and the visit goes back to Scheduled in the same slot, ready to check in. If the slot has been rebooked, you'll be offered Rebook instead.
  • Rebook for cancelled and no-show appointments. It starts a new appointment pre-filled with the client, pet and appointment type.
  • Keep appointment types out of automated forms. In an automation rule, choose appointment types to skip. For example, don't send the pre-visit form for euthanasia or tech appointments.
  • Appointment confirmation request (48 hours before). A new automation in Settings → Automations that asks clients to confirm. It's off until you switch it on.
  • Record text-message consent while sending a form. If a client hasn't agreed to texts, Send Form now offers to record their consent in person or to email them a consent link, instead of just failing.
  • Send a form from a visit's Forms section in the medical record.
  • Written prescriptions.
  • A Written Prescription starter layout.
  • Many more prescription fields: the doctor's signature, page numbers, the pharmacy's fax, and the retail Rx number.
  • Your clinic's fax number in Settings → Clinic Profile.
  • Accept All for AI suggested items on a visit. The list now scrolls when it's long.
  • Hide the "Rescheduled" markers on the schedule, with a new clinic setting.

Improved

  • Visit header. Recording status, tags and the visit's title, attending DVM and scribe now sit together in the visit header, leaving more room for notes.
  • Completed, cancelled and no-show appointments stay put. They can't be dragged, resized, rescheduled or switched back to an earlier status, including by the AI assistant. Notes can still be edited. Use Undo No-Show or Rebook instead.
  • New clients get appointment reminders by default when they're added from online booking, the website assistant, emergency check-in, a referral or a lead. Marketing messages stay off unless the client opts in.
  • The AI assistant uses your clinic's time zone. "Move it to 7:30 PM" now means 7:30 PM at your clinic. The assistant also won't mark a visit Completed; that happens at discharge, so nothing in the discharge step is skipped.
  • Duplicating an automation creates the copy switched off, so a copy can't start messaging clients by surprise.
  • The schedule toolbar fits on laptop screens, with every action reachable.
  • Printed treatment plans now match the downloaded and emailed PDF, clinic header included.
  • Body condition score shows a description for each score, not just its category.
  • Shorter dates in places where only the day matters, for example "Oct 14" instead of "Wednesday, October 14, 2026". The schedule header still shows the full date.
  • Inactive species and breeds can be seen and switched back on from Settings.
  • Edits save when you leave a page. A change typed just before navigating away, closing the tab or switching apps is no longer lost.

Fixed

  • Retail sales now take items out of stock when the bill is issued, and put them back if it's voided or reverted.
  • A new inventory item's dispense fee override is now respected straight away. Previously, "0" (no fee) still charged the clinic default until the item was re-saved.
  • A quantity of 0 on a bill or estimate line now stays 0 instead of becoming 1.
  • Once an estimate has been turned into a bill, its prices can no longer be changed (revert the bill first), so the estimate and the bill always agree.
  • A dispense that draws from more than one lot now bills the full quantity.
  • Billing a fractional dispense (for example 0.5 mL) from the dispense record now bills the exact amount instead of rounding it down.
  • A time entry can no longer be saved without a clock-in time.
  • Adding a charge to a hospital stay whose estimate was already billed now starts a new estimate, instead of changing the billed one.
  • Kit-only price rules now apply only to the kit, not to every line.
  • A bill set to a single provider now keeps that setting, and its receipt shows the provider.
  • Bills created from a visit now name the visit's vet as the provider, so invoices, receipts and provider reports credit the right doctor. If staff change the provider, it's kept when the bill is re-created.
  • Marketing consent: a new client created with email marketing turned off now stays off.
  • The cancellation email no longer includes the staff's internal cancellation note.
  • What's New banners on the visit and schedule screens are visible again, and bold text in them displays correctly.
  • Retail prescription printing: the pharmacy and Rx number fields can't change while the label is being confirmed.
  • Opening an exam template no longer creates a new version of it.
  • Lab orders, price policies and vaccination status set to the first option in a list (for example CBC, Low priority or Up to date) are now saved as chosen.

For UK clinics

  • Everything above applies to UK clinics too, with amounts in Ā£.

Release 10/01/2026

New

  • Estimated range on the visit's treatment plan. When lines use quantity ranges or Essential / Comprehensive
tiers, the plan footer now shows the low and high total for the whole plan, not just each line. Declined lines
are left out, and performed lines count at the amount actually done.
  • Age in weeks for young patients. Patients under 16 weeks show their age in weeks, and in days for the first
week, on the patient header, summary, Chronicle sidebar and search. Vaccine and early-care schedules are planned
    by week.
  • Hand off a recheck from the discharge checklist. When the plan mentions a recheck that isn't booked yet,
Assign someone to schedule it creates a task for a teammate. The task quotes the recheck from the plan and is
linked to the visit and patient.
  • See who recorded a visit. Chronicle now keeps a record of who started each recording, who else recorded on
it, and when. It's shown on the visit.
  • Staff verification status on the team page. Settings → Users shows Invite sent, Verificationrequired or Verified for each team member, updates on its own, and has Resend invite / Resendverification email buttons.
  • Show/hide password. An eye toggle on sign-in, Change Password, and Add User → Set Password.
  • Financial ledger by item. The financial ledger breaks revenue lines out by item, with a charge-level CSV.

Improved

  • "PTO" is now "Time off", and shows the type. Sick leave, vacation, continuing education and the other
absence types are labelled everywhere: the schedule's staff header, the room panel, approvals, My Time Off,
    and export.
  • Recall & Compliance outreach queue.
  • Each row shows the owner, the species, breed, sex and age, and patient and client names that clearly link
    to their records.
  • Back from a record returns to the open report.
  • Rows with no phone or email say No contact on file.
  • Work tasks show the patient's owner and phone number, so a callback task has who to call on it.
  • The Attending DVM picker lists only veterinarians. The Scribe / Team Member picker still lists everyone.
  • AI visit notes no longer credit what was said to the attending DVM. Recordings capture the whole room
without knowing who is speaking. The DVM is still the clinician of record on the note.
  • Account emails take new staff to their own clinic. "Continue" after setting a password or verifying an
email lands on the clinic's sign-in page. Sign-in errors now read "Incorrect email or password".
  • Business dashboard on the clinic's own day. EBITDA and daily figures no longer jump to the next day (or
    next month) in the evening.
  • Revenue breakdowns add up. Itemized revenue breakdowns use the collected basis, so they sum to Revenue.
    Ledger amounts always show cents.

Fixes

  • Dragging an appointment onto Unassigned on the schedule now unassigns it. So does choosing Unassigned in
    the edit form.
  • When an appointment moves after its reminder went out, a reminder is sent again for the new time.
  • Every delayed action set up for an appointment is now scheduled, not only the first.
  • An invoice with a fractional quantity or a precise unit price is marked Paid when paid in full, instead
of Partially Paid with a $0.00 balance.
  • Time off added with Auto-approve on is created as approved.
  • Searching by name in staff pickers (Add Time Off, task assignment and others) finds people again.
  • Team chat threads can only be read, posted to or joined by their members.
  • Importing patient records keeps lab results from reports that don't name the animal.

Release 09/29/2026

Treatment sheets

  • A hospital board for admitted patients. Admit from the patient header, or from Create in the header search.
  • Orders that schedule themselves. Write orders by quick text entry, from a plan template or from your catalog, and they become due treatments. "BID", "TID" and clock times are read as the schedule you meant.
  • Work the way your team does. Use the Now view, the timeline sheet, the whole-hospital care board, or the shift handoff view. "Mine" and "My patients" follow the attending vet.
  • Charges follow the care. Completing a billable treatment adds the charge to the stay's estimate.
  • Discharge shows what was and wasn't done.

Wellness plans

  • Build plans from your own services, with included benefits, and enrol patients.
  • Benefits apply on the invoice automatically.
  • A plan management page shows your roster, monthly revenue, utilisation and liability.
  • Billing a plan: use Charge now, and change the card a plan bills whenever you need to. Automatic recurring billing is coming in a later update.

Visit wrap-up

  • Loose ends are saved against the appointment. Wrap-up no longer lives in a popup. It survives a reload, stays until someone resolves it, and records both acceptances and dismissals.
  • Checked again when the invoice is issued, so charges billed after the note is approved are covered, and a visit with no note still gets its prompts.
  • Cards from the visit record are labelled that way. For example, "mark this patient spayed/neutered" after a billed surgery.
  • Suggestions know the patient. They take into account signalment, alerts, current medications, recent labs and dispenses. A suggestion that conflicts with a patient alert is flagged. Your retail products can be suggested. A dismissed suggestion stays dismissed, and an accepted one isn't offered again.

Recording

  • Chronicle recording works on iPhone. The screen stays awake while you record. If the phone locks or you switch away, recording pauses and marks the gap in the transcript. After a reload it resumes into the same recording.
  • The last words of a recording are kept when you stop or pause.
  • A recording you cancel is discarded rather than offered back to you later.

Controlled drugs

  • Corrections say what they change. A DEA correction asks whether to adjust inventory as well as the ledger, and previews both balances before you save.
  • Linked books and inventory stay in step for receive, waste, destroy and open container. On linked books, dispense through the normal flow so stock and ledger move together.
  • Container codes are unique within each DEA book.
  • A complete audit trail. It shows the full, correct record, including the names of staff and witnesses in the DEA log and its exports.

New

  • Income by Item report. Every item billed in the period, grouped under your own categories with subtotals, reconciling to total billed. Available in Reports, saved reports, PDF/CSV export and monthly email delivery.
  • Run any report for a finished calendar month. The date range in the header now drives every dashboard tab, Production included.
  • Mark hand-entered lab results complete. The Enter Results dialog has a "Mark results complete" box, and a new tour walks you through it.
  • Print a label straight after "Dispense now?" No need to find the fill again in Fulfillment.
  • Appointment history records every reschedule.
  • Staff notifications. Your notification bell tells you when:
  • a patient checks in;
  • lab results are ready;
  • a medication request is waiting for approval;
  • a client sends a message.

Choose which of these you get in your notification settings.

Improved

  • Email from your practice looks like it comes from your practice. Every client email uses one layout with your practice's footer, and replies go to your inbox. Account statements and SMS-consent emails name your practice. Referring-vet emails link to your own referral portal.
  • QI Dashboard and Compliance are now tabs in Business Presence, after Form Responses. "Log QI Event" is unchanged.
  • Business Presence charts follow the date range you select, and reports carry your practice's name in the header.
  • Labs:
  • order notes show on the Labs panel;
  • lab reports open in the browser;
  • a collection date lands on the right day;
  • "View Report" on an imported lab PDF keeps working.
  • Appointment reminders move with the appointment when it's rescheduled. A 24-hour reminder isn't sent once its time has passed.
  • A phone-friendly app shell. Chat, notifications and the call rail fit the screen. Team Chat and Feedback move into the header menu on phones.
  • Recovery vitals opens the full TPR capture.
  • The schedule shows each room's description under its name.
  • Dark mode: toasts and wrap-up cards are readable.
  • Online chat keeps its place. Signing in to the client portal, reloading the page or a brief connection error no longer clears a visitor's chat history or verification. The portal code submits itself when the sixth digit is entered.
  • Stronger protection for everything clients can reach without signing in. Verification codes lock after five wrong guesses, and verification emails are rate-limited.

For UK practices

  • Your currency everywhere. This includes the Business Presence dashboard, fee settings, variance alerts, provider signals, the patient timeline, daily goals, and every report and export.
  • Day-first dates throughout, including report headers and Business Presence.
  • The schedule is called the Diary.
  • Temperatures are captured and recorded in °C.

Fixed

  • A settled or closed bill is no longer repriced when a price rule changes.
  • A tier that dispenses nothing no longer carries a dispense fee on a range estimate.
  • The invoice PDF subtotal adds up with the rest of the totals.
  • Patient records from before June open again.
  • A spoken number only becomes a vital when the speaker named that measurement, in the unit they said. Spoken surgical doses keep their unit only when it was said.
  • AI test suggestions appear on a transcript-only visit, and panels already ordered aren't suggested again.
  • Patient timelines record payments, invoices, vaccinations, prescriptions, dispenses and vitals as they happen.
  • The follow-up day strip labels each day correctly across time zones.
  • Switching an appointment to In-Clinic no longer clears its location.
  • Staff only ever see their own notifications, and announcements are always attributed to the person who posted them.
  • UK POM-V approvals show their governance details on linked requests.
  • The New Hospital Location window fits the screen.
