Release v2026.09.08

Your visit notes, from the conversation you already had

Talk through the exam the way you normally would. PawthosX now reads the visit transcript and proposes what it heard β€” exam findings, vitals, and answers to your own template's questions β€” ready for you to look over.

Nothing is ever written to the record on its own. Every suggestion waits for you to accept it.

For surgery, the same thing applies to the timeline: timestamped events proposed from what was said in theatre. Accept one and it does the rest of the work β€” ticks the surgical checklist, fills the anaesthesia log, and moves the procedure to the right phase.

Notes you write once

Line-item notes on the treatment plan are now saved and reusable. Type a note you've written before and it autocompletes; save a good one to the practice's library and it's there for everyone next time.

  • Manage the whole library from Settings β†’ Saved Notes.

  • Attach a saved note to several items at once, or to a Smart Tag so it follows a whole category.

  • Notes render on the invoice β€” staff panel and client portal β€” and on printed estimates and invoices.

  • The treatment plan itself can now be printed.

Notes that sound like your practice

  • Set a house style for AI-drafted clinical notes β€” tone, structure, the phrasing your practice actually uses.

  • Each vet can layer their own style on top of it.

  • Recorded vitals and standing patient alerts now feed note generation, so a BCS of 8/9 or a "fractious β€” muzzle" flag isn't invisible to the draft.

  • Discharge instructions now mention the patient's upcoming appointments.

Client messaging

  • See whether a client can be texted before you type the message, rather than finding out after you send it.

  • When SMS is blocked, send it as an email instead in one click.

  • If two clients share a phone number, the app now tells you whose conversation you're in.

Notification preferences now do something

Muting, quiet hours and the global off switch were settings you could change that had no effect on what actually got sent. They're now enforced on every path that sends you a notification.

Also new

  • Combo vaccines record as one injection but produce a record per antigen, each with its own next-due date.

  • Reply to a task from the task itself, and tell the sender when it's done.

  • Tasks now show who β€” or what β€” created them.

  • Rooms can be typed as Room, Cage, Run or Ward, and anything that isn't a Room is kept out of online, widget and AI booking.

  • A "Start over" button on the payments panel clears it without closing it.

Improved

  • A new light mode. Repainted end to end, with a refreshed logo β€” cleaner, calmer, and readable in a bright consult room.

  • πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ UK practices get British wording across settings, inventory, the patient record, automations and the ⌘K palette β€” and Northern Ireland is now handled as a UK region.

  • Permissions open up: everyday reads are available to every staff role by right, while write controls you don't have permission for are now hidden rather than failing when clicked.

  • Settings search and the ⌘K palette rank results by relevance.

  • Multi-word client search works β€” "Sarah J" finds Sarah Johnson.

Fixed

  • The estimate PDF sent to owners was dropping the dispensing fee and the discount, and showed a unit price with no line total. All three are back.

  • A sub-cent balance no longer reads as "Fully Paid" and hides every payment option.

  • Questionnaires ask for weight in your clinic's unit and store it consistently.

  • The discharge tab no longer hangs on a spinner.

  • Signing out now ends the session on the server, not just in the browser.

  • A house-account charge applies to the bill it was aimed at, rather than the next one.

  • Clicking an AI suggestion's checkbox selects it instead of cancelling itself.
